The CMS vision is to establish and maintain schools that strive
for excellence by providing accessible quality Montessori education
in growing communities. The schools’ aim is to prepare children
to reach their full potential and to play a responsible role in
protecting the global environment and fostering peace and harmony
with natural processes and community interests.
Mission
CMS endeavor to provide quality education in a safe, diverse, nurturing
and creative environment that helps the development of the whole
child. The mission ensures that the child is academically motivated,
artistically creative, physically active and emotionally supported.
History
The CMS vision has been followed since the first campus opened in
1995. The successful approach has allowed expansion to five campuses
conveniently located near major intersections of central North York
and Thornhill in north Toronto. [Tour

The newest campus, located in the Leslie and York Mills area at
18 Coldwater Road, opened September 2003, in response to requests
and encouragement from parents to provide spacious indoor and outdoor
facilities at the new campus. The CMS, York Mills campus, is situated
on 2 1/2 acres of land with spacious indoor facilities that include:
large classrooms, a library, labs, art and music rooms, a standard
size gymnasium/auditorium, and an outdoor play area.
